Main Window Overview





The PowerSNMP Network Manager main window provides several windows that together provide the status of any number of devices on your network.

 

1 . Discovered Nodes ListDiscovered Nodes List

This list contains the saved SNMP Agents and non-SNMP devices to be monitored. By right clicking on the items you can quickly access a menu of available functions for the device. See the Discovered Devices page for further details on this window.

2 . Watch WindowWatch Window

The Watch window contains a list of configured watches. PowerSNMP Network Manager allows you to configure watches on SNMP variables, Trap events, and device responsiveness. Right clicking on an item will display a context menu of available operations that can be performed on the watch item.

3 . Trap WindowTrap Window

The Trap tab of the events window displays a list of received trap messages.

4 . Log WindowLog Window

The Log tab of the events window displays any errors or warnings that have occurred with the watched items.

5 . MIB WindowMIB Window

The MIB Window contains a view of the currently loaded MIB database. You can load .MIB files into the Manager for reference as you configure the manager to monitor your devices. Directly below the MIB tree is a text window with further details about the selected item as described by the default or additional loaded .MIB files.
