The Add SNMP Agents window is used to located active SNMP Agents on you network, and optionally select agents for addition to the Discovered Devices list.
Broadcast Option
When this radio button is selected, the address list allows you to select the broadcast IP address to use to discover agents. This list is preloaded with the found subnet broadcast IP addresses for all your network adapters and the general broadcast addresses of 255.255.255.255 and 192.168.0.255.

Range Option
When this radio button is selected, allows you to specify a range of IP addresses across which to discover agents. Supports IPv4 and IPv6.

Find
Use the find button to send a broadcast SNMP message or SNMP message to the Broadcast address, or every IP within the specified Range.

Community
Community to use in the SNMP request message(s) sent.

Timeout
Amount of time to wait for responses to the SNMP discovery request.

Response List
The Response List contains a list of the agents that responded to the find request. In the list you will see the discovered agent's IP address, as well as the value of the sysDescr value for the agent. Check any agents that are to be saved along with the current SNMP setting defined in the settings dialog to the Discovered Devices list.
