PowerSNMP for .NET
OnMessage Method

A MessageEventArgs object containing event data.
Raises the Message event.
Syntax
Protected Overridable Sub OnMessage( _
   ByVal e As MessageEventArgs _
)
Dim instance As SnmpBase
Dim e As MessageEventArgs

instance.OnMessage(e)
protected virtual void OnMessage(
   MessageEventArgs e
)
protected: virtual void OnMessage(
   MessageEventArgs* e
)
protected:
virtual void OnMessage(
   MessageEventArgs^ e
)

Parameters

e
A MessageEventArgs object containing event data.
Remarks
If the Synchronizing property is set, this method asynchronously invokes the event on the UI thread. If the Synchronizing property is null, this method invokes the event on the executing thread.

The OnMessage method allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate, but marshaling is not provided. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Note to Inheritors: When overriding this method in a derived class, be sure to call the base class OnMessage method, so that registered delegates receive the event.

See the SynchronizingObject property for information on updating UI controls in your event handler.
