Remarks

PipeStream wraps a stream that is filtered or encoded/decoded in some fashion, calling its methods and properties internally.

PipeStream provides the capability to perform buffered reads/writes. Typically, derived classes would perform a transformation (filtering/encoding) to the data passing through it.

PipeStream does not support seeking\.
