The default value is 0.

When Get retrieves a preview of a message, the response includes the message header plus a number of lines from the beginning of the message body. The default value of 0 indicates that only the header is requested.

There is no guarantee that the preview lines returned are printable, or even intelligible. Commonly, however, they include some part of the text portion of the message.
