Configuration Window





The PowerSNMP Network Manager Configuration Window allows you to configure program-wide settings used during operation. 

     Address DropDown

The Local Address field sets the local IP address the manager should bind to. The field is pre-filled with all detected local addresses.

     Port Field

The Trap Listener Port field sets the local port the PowerSNMP Network Manager will open and listen on for any Trap messages. The default value is 162.

     Use Dual Mode Checkbox

Specifies whether a 'Dual Mode' socket should be used. Only available for the IPv6 'Any' address, "::". 

     Edit SNMPv3 Trap Users

Allows configuration of SNMPv3 Agent Users for decoding received Trap messages.

     Configure Authoritative Engine

Allows the user to configure the Manager's Authoritative Engine (Engine ID, Users (for decoding received Informs), etc).

     From Address Field

The From Address field sets the email address that notifications will be sent from.

     To Address Field

The To Address field sets the email address that notifications will be sent to.

     Email Rate Limiter

Specifies the maximum rate in seconds at which emails will be sent at.

     Edit Server Configuration

Configures the details of your SMTP email server to send emails through.

     CSV Log Field

Optionally specify a CSV file to create or append to (if a file already exists at the specified location). Traps, Informs, Ping watches and Variable watches will all be logged to it.

     OK

Accepts and stores the current settings. All changed settings take effect immediately. If the Trap Listener Port or Local Address is changed, the current socket will be closed, and re-opened with the new settings.
